Sunday morning, the final day, and two flights in the morning, starting with the 76 kg women, and in the second flight, the under 84 kg and over 84 kg. In the 84 + kg squats, Sara Pulsaari of University of Jyvaskyla [FIN], achieved new EUSA records in all three attempts, finishing with 190 kg. In bench, Agata Kaliciak of Wroclaw University School of Physical Education [POL], set new 84+ kg records on her second and third attempts, finishing with 94.5 kg. Deadlift gold medals were Tereza Loosova of University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice [CZE] in the 76 kg class, Cecile Brotons of Universite de Lyon [FRA] in the -84 kg class and Agata Kaliciak in the 84+ kg class. Total golds went to Tereza Loosova, Kata Rahel Kovaks of Eotvos Lorand University [HUN] and Sara Pulsaari.
Sunday afternoon lifting and we were entertained by the -120 kg and 120+ kg men. And what an afternoon it was! Mircea Moise of Romanian American University Bucharest [ROU] set a new EUSA squat record of 272.5 kg in the 120+ kg weight class. He also won gold in the 120+ kg bench with Alessio Richiu of Bucharest University of Economic Studies [ROU] taking bench gold in the -120 kg class. Deadlifts were exciting right up to the last lift in an electric atmosphere where everybody was cheering everybody, a great friendly competition.
Totals were, in the -120 kg weight class, Jakub Sigit of Masaryk University [CZE]gold, lifting a total of 785 kg, Lorenz Muylkens of HAN University of Applied Sciences, Arnhem, Nijmegen [NED] silver, lifting a total of 732.5 kg and David Stankovic of Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague [CZE], bronze lifting a total of 727.5 kg. In the 120+ kg class, gold went to Filip Portes of Palacky University, Olomouc [CZE], gold lifting a total of 750 kg, Mircea Moise, silver, lifting a total of 735 kg and Krzysztof Stangret of Military University of Technology [POL], bronze lifting a total of 685 kg.
