European Open, Junior and Sub-Junior Equipped Powerlifting Championships, Pilsen, Czech Republic, 3rd to 8th May 2022

The European Powerlifting Federation and Czech Powerlifting Federation welcome you to Pilsen, Czech Republic for the European Open, Junior and Sub-Junior Equipped Powerlifting Championships, Pilsen, Czech Republic, 3rd to 8th May 2022.

228 athletes will be competing for the coveted medals. 128 males and 100 females will be present from Poland, Italy, Ukraine, France, Finland, Romania, Great Britain, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, Czechia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Sweden, Austria, Iceland and Slovenia.

Pilsen is a city in the western Czech Republic. It’s known for the Pilsner Urquell Brewery, specializing in bottom-fermented beer since 1842, with brewing cellars and a bottling plant.  Ringed by parks, the old centre has the 19th-century Great Synagogue, which also hosts concerts. The Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, completed in the 16th century, has Renaissance paintings and a tall spire with a viewing gallery.  The advantage of the Pilsen historical centre is that all important sites are concentrated in one place: the monumental Gothic cathedral with the tallest spire in the Czech Republic, the third biggest Synagogue in Europe, several museums and galleries and a number of beautiful historical buildings. A pleasant stroll through the historical centre may be finished in some of local cafés or restaurants, in spring and summer relaxing in the garden with an amazing view of blossoming parks.
