The final 2 sessions were celebrated over the weekend. Day 4, Saturday, was the first day of Classic lifting in the Masters championships.
The ladies Master 4, Master 3 and Master 2 competed in the first session with notable performances from Elsa Palsdottir of Iceland, in the -76 kg bodyweight category. Elsa achieved new world records in the Masters 3 Squat (130 gs) and Deadlift (157.5 kgs) and won the Best Lifter Award with 69.88IPF GL points.
In the second session on Saturday it was the turn of the Masters 4 Classic lifters. François Vinot of France took the Best Lifter award with 65,30 IPF GL points in a very exciting fight by points with the Danish lifter John Terragni. John Terragni broke his own world record in benchpress in the -74 category with an impressive 117,5 kg lift.
