Ekaterinburg is a beautiful, historic city with many landmarks and places of interest to explore and is the 4th largest city in Russia with 1,3 million inhabitants.  No visit is complete without a trip to the Church of the Blood in Honour of All Saints, the place where the Emperor Nicholas and his wife and children were executed.   You can get a breathtaking panoramic view of the city from the viewing platform at the top of the 52 floor high Vysotskiy skyscraper, the second tallest building in Russia.

The Literary Quarter of Ekaterinburg is the cultural centre of the city.  Not least because this district is where Ural writers and artists are celebrated and their writings preserved and proudly displayed.   These include major contemporary figures such as Dmitry Mamina-Sibiyak and Pavel Bazhov.  There are also numerous shopping malls and restaurants to visit in the city, details of which will be available at the venue hotel along with bus and tram timetables.
