The title European Powerlifter of the year is awarded to 4 European powerlifters with the highest score at both the World Open and the European Open.
For 2016 the following lifters are awarded:
In Classic lifting: Sofia Loft from Sweden and Martins Kruze from Latvia.
In Equipped lifting: Victoria Karlysheva from Russia and Oleksiy Rokochiy from Ukraine.
