The European Powerlifting Federation (EPF) was honoured to be represented by its President, Mr. Bjørn Astad, at the General Assembly of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), held on 10th-11th of October. The event was organized at an exceptionally high level, reflecting EUSA’s professionalism and strong commitment to the development of university sport in Europe.
During the Assembly, elections for the new EUSA Executive Committee took place.
EPF extends its warm congratulations to Mr. Haris Pavletic, Head of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation, who was elected as the new EUSA President.
EPF also congratulates Mr. Adam Roczek, who, after many years of dedicated leadership, was appointed as the Honorary President of EUSA. EPF has enjoyed excellent cooperation with Mr. Roczek, who attended the EPF University Cup 2025 in Luxembourg, showing his continued support for powerlifting.
Mr. Astad expressed his appreciation for the partnership between EPF and EUSA and emphasized the importance of collaboration in promoting powerlifting among student athletes across Europe.
“The EPF highly values our relationship with EUSA and looks forward to continuing this fruitful cooperation under the leadership of Mr. Pavletic,” said Mr. Astad.
EPF congratulates the newly elected EUSA leadership team and wishes them every success in their mission to further strengthen the role of university sport in Europe.
