The preparations for this championship are in good progress and EPF and the organizer are determined to implement it as scheduled. Due to Corona restrictions, we must however give the following information as EPF and the Organizer must, in any respect, follow National and International Corona restrictions.
All nations must nominate their lifters by 8 May at the latest.
Any lifter nominated, may be withdrawn prior to the final nomination on 16 June without paying any participation or anti-doping fees.
So, there is no economic load in making a nomination.
As the Corona situation changes from week to week, the EPF cannot exclude that the championship may be cancelled at short notice.
1 June 2021 is the latest date to announce if the championship will be cancelled!
Participants must be aware that this late date for a possible cancellation will strongly affect travel arrangements and some reservations should be made when booking.
The organizer will arrange all Covid-19 regulations as stated by IPF and if a quarantine hotel is needed, this will be arranged at the cost of the users.
EPF recommends that all participants have their own travel and health insurance.
The potential cancellation of this championship may involve economic loss to some or all parties involved. The EPF Constitution 13.16.3 states that no economic compensation will be granted from EPF to either the Organizer or any participants.
In this difficult time, we have all suffered from harsh restrictions on our daily lives and our lifters have also had restrictions in training and competing. We, the EPF are trying our utmost to be able to organize the championships in Pilsen in July and I encourage all to support this and accept the limitations and eventual economic risk this may involve.
If a low number of lifters are nominated by the date of the Preliminary nomination, the time schedule for the championship will be changed. This will be published around 9-10 May.
New information will be given by 1st June.
Thank you for your support!
