15.05.12: The organization of the European Open in Mariupol did not quite meet the EPF standard but the results by the lifters were outstanding. Several World and European records were broken including the impressing World record of 1135 kg in total  by Carl Yngvar Christensen from Norway in +120 kg. Results

27.04.12: The European Open Powerlifting Championships take place 8-12 May in Mariupol, Ukraine. Live stream by Goodlift system can be watched by clicking on the Live Championship TV on the right side of EPF website. A special screen will open when the championships start.

23.04.12: New accommodation hotel in Mariupol.
All participants in the European Open will be accommodated in the 4 star hotel "Victoria, Bolosarajsky plait, street Bezuha 30 in Mariupol. The charge will be 35 Euro per night.

27.03.12: Deadline for the Antidoping report 2011: 31 March is the deadline for reporting a federations antidoping activity in 2011. A federation is suspended from taking part in international competitions until such report is received by the EPF president Wahlstrom.

24.03.12: Hotel update at the European Open in Mariupol. Invitation of the European Open in Mariupol is updated regarding hotels and place of the General Assembly. Details can be loaded down from "invitation New!!!" under "Upcoming Events" at the right side.

06.03.12: EPF General Assembly.
Proposals and amendments for the General Assembly must be received by the EPF Secretary General within 7 March. The GA will start at 19:00 hrs 7 Mai in Mariupol.

18.01.12: Eleiko supports European powerlifting.
Eleiko and EPF have signed a contract that secure European member federations maximum discount when buying Eleiko equipment. To gain advantage of the contract, federations must contact EPF before ordering.

29.12.11: European Lifters 2011.
Based on their results at the Open European and Open World championships, the following lifters are appointed "European Lifters 2011":
Tetyana Akhmamyetyeva from Ukraine and Jaroslaw Olech from Poland.
